In 2020, Capra founders Zoey, Mia, and Jeff found themselves drinking excessive amounts of coffee while working from home. Their feelings of frustration with the traditional French Press combined with free time brought on by the Pandemic kickstarted Capra.

Hi, I'm Mia!
My sister, Zoey, and I grew up in a family of coffee addicts and entrepreneurs.
Though we always daydreamed about opening a business together, life was busy and we lived across from the world from each other (Zoey in Denmark, me in Canada).
Then the pandemic happened... life slowed down, my partner Jeff and I got a puppy, and we all started brewing more coffee at home.
While we loved trying different brewing devices, we always found ourselves returning to the French Press (despite our love-hate relationship with it).
It was during this time that Jeff and I started considering what the French Press could be with the right innovation.

Why the CAPRA PRESS?
We wanted to design a French Press that took the hassle out of cleaning and the guesswork out of brewing.
In years from now, when we sit down for coffee with our friends and family and reflect on these crazy years, we're excited that the CAPRA PRESS will be at the centre of the table :)
